The special thing is that in this disease, the patient does not even know that he is suffering from schizophrenia, there are very few people who know about schizophrenia, but one person out of every hundred is a victim of it.
It is a type of psychosis, which is mostly found in the age group of 18 to 25 years. In this, the patient starts seeing and hearing such things, which are not there in reality. Because of this he talks absurdly and tries to cut himself off from society. In such a situation, the social personality of the patient is destroyed. In some cases, suicidal thoughts also arise in patients. It has also been seen many times that people become so paranoid about this disease. that even stop eating and drinking. They are afraid that someone might mix poison in it.
The main cause of the disease is an imbalance of dopamine neurotransmitters in the brain, which is a type of chemical. The stress, confusion, busy life, runaway, and unbearable events throughout the day also increase this disease. With this disease, people lose their ability to work.

At present, only one-third of the patients are reaching the doctors for treatment. Apart from this, there is also a huge shortage of psychiatrists across the country. Only four thousand psychiatrists are available in a country of 125 crores. Schizophrenia is usually caused by biological, genetic, psychological, and social causes. A certain type of brain structure may be responsible for the problems in people with this disease. The results proved that blockages arising in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex part of the brain of schizophrenia patients are responsible for the problem. This part of the brain plays an important role in the memory mechanism. This part helps to temporarily store information in complex and cognitive tasks.
During recent research, about 45 normal people and 51 schizophrenia patients were studied. Schizophrenia usually begins in childhood or puberty.

The person keeps smiling, laughing, or grumbling while sitting alone. He hears voices that scare him. Blames or orders and these voices are not heard by anyone else. The person lives alone and does not want to go to work for any reason.
He doesn’t have a clue about his cleanliness. The person becomes more aggressive or agitated without any reason. In these circumstances, he may hurt family members, others, or himself. The person suspects that something is being mixed in his food. Because of this, he eats outside without feeling hungry or refusing to take food. Do not make fun of the patient and keep encouraging him. Treatment of mental illness takes a long time, so medicine should not be stopped without consultation. If the patient does not take the medicine properly, then its side effects can also appear. Patients with suicidal tendencies should not be left alone. Anti-psychiatric drugs and electric shock treatment prove to be very beneficial in this disease. Due to delay or irregularity in treatment, the disease becomes severe and of long duration. Its benefits are visible only after three to six months of continuous treatment. According to an estimate, about 1.2 percent of India’s population suffers from schizophrenia.
About 12 people out of every 1000 adult people suffer from this disease. It is considered to be the main reason behind 90 percent of all suicides taking place across the country. Doctors tell that in this disease, the patient considers himself healthy and does not even come to see the doctor. Sometimes the family members forcefully bring the patient to see the doctor.
